Just got back from another great flats trip (Dec. 1-8)to the Andros Island Bonefish Club in the Bahamas. We had some clouds and even rain in the afternoons, but were had mostly sunny skies in the mornings. We were targeting big bonefish most of the time, and landed 4 "double-digit" giants. Many nice bonefish between 5-9 pounds were caught, also, on oversized Gotcha patterns...#1/0. Great meals like conch fritters, cracked conch, lobster, fresh cracked lobster, fresh grouper, snapper, and so on. We hooked some big lemon sharks at the bar at night...too big to land on light shark gear. What a fun place...Capt. Rupert Leadon is still running a great show on Andros. Flyfishing bonefish at Andros is still my favorite trip...it's challenging, exciting, and the fish can be huge!
