We had great weather, fished all 4 days last weekend. Tarpon were daisy-chaining in the passes, and out off the beaches. Landed tarpon of 75 and 80 pounds on flies myself...what a rush! Man, are these things strong! Applying maximum pressure for 30-50 minutes on a fish will take a lot out of you, but the battle will end sooner, and usually better for the fish. My buddy got a 90 pounder, and lost a 30 pounder as well. I plan to have "Tarpon Night" at the shop soon...watch some video, tie knots, flies, etc. What a blast...Big Game Flyrodding!
