Caught some nice crappies and bluegills in the Siren-Webster area last weekend, despite lots of squalls, lightning, and wind. Water temps were found from 55 to 60 degrees, and some fish were up shallow whenever it was nice enough to see. Panfish poppers size 6-10 in chartreuse worked well. At times, crappies and bluegills were very aggressive, even being caught on size 11 Rapalas and bass plastics. It should get even better if the weather does the same.
