The big river has dropped a bunch in the past week or so, and is fishing well. Been catching lots of really nice smallmouth bass on poppers. Many fish between 15-18 inches. It finally feels like summer now...catching smallies along the banks of the main channel, dodging a few thunderstorms, and swatting a few mosquitoes at the landing. Life is good.
