The Brule was low and clear, 53 degrees on 9/23/06. .8" of rain overnight bumped it up from 105 c.f.s. to 120 briefly, but didn't see much difference on the river. One nice 26" steelhead caught on yarn fly, a thick-bodied wild hen with some color. Not too much fishing pressure on the river yet. Fall colors are nearing peak.
