I recently fished Sage's new 890-4 Z-Axis rod on The Brule for steelhead, and found it to be everything a Great Lakes steelhead rod should be. It's light, strong, and has that critical sensitivity that drift fishermen need. It will chuck a small amount of weight for mono and running line guys, and performs beautifully with an indicator/nymph rig on a WF line. Excellent, versatile rod. Check them out!

This rod also performed very well swinging big leeches in Alaska...great casting and mending, and seemed very strong fighting steelhead considering how light the rod feels. Thumbs up!
