Water temperatures varied from 50 degrees to 60 degrees on Burnett county lakes last weekend, which had the crappies and bass reacting hourly to the conditions. In the afternoons, there were lots of crappies and some bass in the shallow bays. Bass were caught on foam poppers and deer hair divers when the water was above 55 degrees. Crappies were schooling up, and could be caught easily on wooly buggers. The next 2 weeks should produce some great action, if the temperatures climb. It was great to catch some fish on flies out of a boat again! Scott
