I've been playing around with the Syncork more and more lately. Had a 7'6" Diamondback ML bass crankbait rod built with Syncork and if you're looking for lightweight then wow!!! Had the rod built with a poodle handle and put on a Shimano Chronarch 50 MG and you're looking at a set-up that weighs well less than a pound!

Some of the beauties of Syncork... roughly 10% lighter than regular cork... very durable (Syncork will look as good 5 years down the road as it did once it was built)... and the additional grip can be beneficial when spending a long day casting, especially in wet conditions...

I'll admit, I was a skeptic at first, but Syncork has found a place in my arsenal!

Matt, I have to agree, I was very hesitant to switch to syncork but after having it put on a rod I now have a subsitute for cork. This stuff feels great, is so incredibly light and I am sure will be offered in a wide variety of colors soon. Can't wait to get it on some more rods soon!!!
