After the freezing rain and snow finished this morning I was out on Crow Lake/Weisner to check the conditions. The ice is still minimum of 7" with a few spots being up too 14". There is a very thin cover if slushy ice on the surface. Crow Lake has some ice heaves on it also. Lake of the Woods has 12" of ice in most areas. The ice roads are open and there is approx. 3 inches of snow slush right now. Trout season opens tomorrow so I am excited about fishing on ice without having to walk through alot of snow.
