Hey Brett
I just return from my all expense paid 5 night trip in the hospital for my third Back surgery in twelve weeks. This time it was a permanent fix. I had to have 3 vertebra fused together. I have a 6 month road to recovery! |

That sucks! Hopefully they did fix it right this time so you won't have these problems anymore. Your timing is horrible. You are supposed to do health related things in the late fall/early winter so you are better and ready to go once the season opens. It's all about the timing :-) Hate to rub it in, but I leave in 8 hours to go beat up the smallies up at Rough Rock for 4 days :-)
Take care of yourself, Brett Erickson |

OUCH!!! Rest is best is what I have learned. Good music, good food an sitting on yer dock is very good too. Rest is best, laughing a bunch is cool too. Be well soon. Called shop, was told of NEW message boards. I think I had hear of this, but who knows. Brain fog. On mainland for the afternoon at long time friend Maura & Bills up here in Soudan. Was E-mailing home, thought I would try to log on? Looks good so far. Had a tiny set back myself 30 some day ago. Friends are still a bit wild in our middle age an I'm about the only sober male. Arrows fly an do strange things when handled by kids left alone. One found my left calf on accident. Went clean through from about 90 yards on a skip off a snord target. Lots of blood, but healing up cool as a moose after we got it reamed and cleaned, sticjed up. Second time in my 50 years an arrow has found ME! LOL Bit to the north an it might have hit one of my maraders. Now that would have had me MAD! No harm, no foul. Accidents happen. FYI: SNORDS are huge round hay bails you see in fields across the world in your travles. In case you have no clue. Be down the shop sometime next week to pick up a custom rob Bill made me for this season. Little brain fag I have from time to time had this sweet gem hidden an I did not register it until I was playing with the BIG stuff this past week. HOLLY CRAP, I bet my new custom rod is dnoe! LOL X 1000000000000000 Yes, I have been sober 18 plus years. LOL Cool board, hope it goes well and many use it. Will try to pop in now an again for laughs, maybe learn something too. Have a great Hoilday. Be safe. Yeah, I know, I should squak. But I really mean it for YOU ALL! LOL I'm being called to lunch. Griled Moose & Bear brats from Rene up Red Lake, cold spread of fresh veggies and grilled ones too. Plus that wonder homemade rootbeer. Ahhhhhhhhh! Keep on Rocken! T. |

Tommy! Good to see you found your way to us and didn't get too lost along the way :-) Man, ya gotta get rid of that black cloud over you this year. Now they are even shooting at you! Unbelievable! Haven't heard the hay rolls called 'snords' before. We've always called them 'elephant turds'.
Bill, sorry--but I gotta rub it in :-) Smallies were on FIRE up at Rough Rock. My biggest was just over 21"! Lost 2 others that were over 20" and of couse lost tons of tackle to all kinds of little pike. Gambler's new Little Ugly Otter (3"smallie beaver-style bait) in white lightning in sunny conditions or the hurricane craw in darker conditions rigged weightless on a 2/0 Gamakatsu Extra Wide Gap worm hook was by far the most effective. There were a couple of days where Elmer and Ralph, the guides up at Rough Rock, would pull into a bay and pop 40-60 smallies at a crack. Hurry up and heal and get your butt up there :-) Just kidding, take care of yourself and get all healed up the right way, but we'll have to get in the boat up there in the next year or two. That goes for you too Tom, if we can ever get you off of Vermillion! Take care, Brett |
