Well after not catching walleyes much in the winter was becoming to common for me I finally broke my habit today. I was out from noon till 5 on Lake of the Woods today. Me and another got our 8 walleye and released more than 20 more. They seemed to be hitting small do-jigger and swedish pimple style baits. Tipping them was not necessary and the hits were extremely hard. Also they were uncharacteristly hitting several times if the hookset was missed. The warm weather might have helped the fish, or just made it easier for the fisherman to fish. I am hoping to get out a few more times this month also.
