i have been out walleye fishing on tonka, the bite is good right around primetime...so that is turning out to be 5-5:30 pm. we have been finding them on the weededges adjacent to deep water...getting them to go on buckshots or deadsticks with a fathead.....some people are driving out...i have been finding 15 inches of ice in all the places i have punched....but there are still some spots that have as little as 6 inches....if you decide to drive stay on the roads. I havent found the need to drive just yet, i have been walking out short distances. before primetime expect to be hounded by perch. they will disapeer as soon as 5 or so rolls around when the walleye move in. after dark seems to be slower, but there are fish here and there. go get em!
